Chalk among 14 legislators honored by state medical group

State Rep. Richard E. Chalk Jr., R-Hilton Head Island, was one of 14 legislators honored Wednesday by the S.C. Medical Association for his "leadership and support to the field of medicine" during the 118th session of the South Carolina General Assembly.

"I am extremely appreciative of this honor," said Chalk. "Being supportive of issues that will help improve health care in our state is one of my foremost objectives."

Now in his third term, Chalk is vice chairman of the Medical, Military, Public and Municipal Affairs Committee.
