Lowcountry Heat come up short at West Ashley

West Ashley 14, Lowcountry Heat 11: The Lowcountry Heat left the bases loaded in the ninth inning and stranded eight runners on the night in an American Legion road loss to West Ashley.

The Heat (1-10) were led by Charlie Wilkins, who went 4-for-5 at the plate and scored two runs. Jack Tillman was 3-for-5 with two RBIs, Matthew Graney was 2-for-4 and Ryan Shea was 2-for-5.

DeAnte Scott was the losing pitcher.

West Ashley improves to 8-4. The Heat will travel to Summerville for a 7 p.m. game on Thursday.
