Golf cart accident injures youth in Port Royal

A juvenile was seriously injured Saturday evening after a golf cart accident in Port Royal, said Lt. Daniel Byrne, Beaufort fire marshal.

A group of juveniles was riding in the cart when it overturned at 14th Street and Richmond Avenue at about 8:30 p.m., Byrne said.

The juvenile sustained a serious leg injury, he said. No further details were available Sunday night.
