Chamber to host networking event

The Beaufort County Black Chamber of Commerce will host a First Friday networking event from 6 to 8 p.m. Fridayat the chamber's office, 801 Bladen St., Beaufort.

Marriott Club celebrates 25 years

Marriott Vacation Club International has reached its 25th anniversary.

The club, the vacation ownership division of Marriott International, began on Hilton Head Island in 1984.

Marriott was the first branded hospitality company to enter the timeshare industry with the purchase of a 184-villa project that became Marriott's Monarch at Sea Pines.

The club now includes eight island resorts and more than 50 throughout the United States, Caribbean, Europe and Asia.
