Car crashes into Country Store

A car crashed into a Pritchardville business before leaving the scene, a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office report released Monday said.

On Thursday night, a car struck the Country Store, 197 May River Road, causing $10,000 in damage, the report said. The store owner didn't notice the damage until opening the store Friday morning.

Along with damage to the cinder-block structure, telephone and alarm wires were severed by the force of the impact, the report said.

Deputies did not find any debris left by the car at the scene, the report said.
