Cold, windy conditions made for a tough day on the links for USC Beaufort's women's golf team, which posted a second-round score of 336 to finish in a tie for eighth among 20 teams at the Flagler Fall Slam in St. Augustine, Fla.

The Sand Sharks' two-day total of 648 put them in a tie with Berry College. Barry University edged first-round leader Lynn University by five shots for the team title.

Sophie Henke posted USCB's best round of the day, a 5-over-par 77, to lead the Sand Sharks with an overall score of 152, good for a tie for seventh overall. Cande Villar-Urquiza (74-83--157), Adriana Saavedra (80-89--169), Brittany Cheek (83-87--170) and Addie Avant (88-92--180) rounded out the scoring for USCB.

The Sand Sharks are back in action Nov. 8-9, when they play host to the J. Lindeberg Sand Shark Classic at Tradition National Golf Club in Hardeeville.
