Bluffton Self Help has released its report for the quarter that ended Sept. 30. The nonprofit provided food to more than 900 people from three weekly deliveries by Second Helpings and provided additional non-perishable foods to 375 people; assisted more than 4,500 people with clothing; provided financial assistance to 42 families with rents/mortgages or emergency lodging,48 families with utility and water assistance, two individuals with medications or medical supplies, five children with school supplies, nine seniors with home repairs and five miscellaneous items. Bluffton Self Help said the total assistance is a 40 percent increase in dollars spent over the same time last year.
