Heavily-tattooed suspect identified in island stabbing

Authorities are searching for two men accused of robbing and stabbing a 33-year-old Hilton Head Island man last week.

The victim, who was stabbed multiple times in the abdomen, was able to identify one of his alleged attackers: Elias Martinez-Hernandez, 23, of 18 Vanessa Lane, Hilton Head Island, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.

The identity of the second man is unknown.

The attack occurred at 9:20 p.m. Saturday on Dillon Road near Wiley Road.

Martinez-Hernandez is described as having black hair and brown eyes. He's about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds.

He has multiple tattoos, including a swastika on his inner left forearm; a large "E" on his inner-left forearm; "Inri" on his left bicep; possibly a pair of lips on the right side of his neck; and various tattoos on his shoulder.

Martinez-Hernandez is wanted for armed robbery, assault and battery with intent to kill, and possession of a weapon during commission of a violent crime.
