After a delay of a little more than four hours, the first round of the Players Amateur is set to resume at 12:30 p.m. on the West Course at Belfair Golf Club. Only six of 40 pairings made it onto the course before play was halted because of heavy rain and lightning with the 8:18 a.m. tee time on the first tee. Defending champion Mark Anderson of Beaufort had not yet completed the first hole when play was suspended.
