Award winners were announced for the annual Taste of the Season culinary event this year at Sea Pines Country Club on Hilton Head Island. More than 30 area chefs and restaurants participated.

Best cuisine went to Aqua Grille and Lounge. The prize dish, prepped by Eric Seaglund, was a walnut encrusted sea bass served over sweet potato risotto with a cherry gastrique. Second place went to Red Fish's grilled sea bass in wasabi cream sauce and soy glaze on udon noodles with wakame salad. Third place belonged to Michael Anthony's veal cheeks with creamy polenta.

This year's event also featured a cake design showcase. First place went to Sheri's Edible Designs. Second went to Signe's Heaven Bound Bakery.
