Sneezes send deputy's cruiser crashing into another car

A chain of apparently seismic sneezes by a Beaufort County sheriff's deputy while behind the wheel was enough to send the lawman's 2006 Ford Crown Victoria crashing into another vehicle last Friday along U.S. 278 in Bluffton, according to a report Thursday from the Sheriff's Office.

"While attempting to stop at a traffic light at the entrance to Tanger 1 outlet store, I started sneezing and collided with the victim's vehicle," the deputy said in the report.

No one was injured in the crash, but each vehicle has $1,000 in damages.
