No arrests in Dale double homicide

No arrests had been made as of Wednesday evening in the shooting deaths late Sunday of 34-year-old Jeanine Mullen and her 4-year-old son.

Beaufort County Sheriff's deputies arrested Jeanine Mullen's boyfriend, Earnest Stewart Daise, 27, on drug charges Monday. Daise remains at the Beaufort County Detention Center without bond on charges of crack cocaine and marijuana trafficking. Authorities are not saying if Daise is a suspect or person of interest in his girlfriend's death.

Daise is believed to be the father of a 2-year-old boy also injured in the shooting. The boy remains in the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where his condition is undisclosed.

Mullen and her son, Waltfredo Davis-Mullen, were found shot to death inside their home on Player Road.
