A bridge run -- not too far

Hundreds of runners and walkers negotiated the Charles E. Fraser Bridge over Broad Creek on Saturday morning as part of the 18th annual Hargray Bridge Run. Some 500 runners and walkers participated in the race. Since 1992, the Hilton Head Bridge Run has hosted more than 8,900 runners and walkers and has raised more than $25,000 for the area charities.
