  Remember that winless midget football team I wrote about in my last column? The one that I thought had a better chance of seeing Santa than winning? Well, you know what? They won their final game of the season over another winless team. But the kids didn't know that or care. You would have thought they won the Super Bowl.

• Make your team feel like champions at the end of the season
  The end of the fall youth sports season usually comes with some elation and some relief -- and, for some, not so many wins.

• Don't leave your team in the dark this fall
  Fall is here. The leaves are beginning to turn colors, we awake to morning dew on the lawns, and some even feel the heat kick on inside their homes. We also notice more and more -- even with the extended daylight savings time -- that darkness comes earlier each night.
